Saudi missionary son: My father is being murdered silently in his prison

The son of Salman al-Awda, a Saudi missionary imprisoned in Riyadh, said: My father is being subjected to a silent murder operation in a Saudi prison, and the Riyadh authorities do not allow him to call or visit him.

Abdullah al-Awda, son of Salman al-Awda, an imprisoned Saudi missionary, tweeted: There is a deliberation on the part of Saudi officials to keep my father out of sight, and his contacts and visits have been completely banned, the last time he was seen was in one of his court hearings in mid-November.

Abdullah Al-Awda added: Al-Awda’s family believes that he became thinner, weaker and more disturbed during the trial, indicating that he was exposed to silent murder inside the prison.

He further tweeted: My father’s physical condition is deteriorating and he is suffering from severe medical negligence and the Saudi authorities are responsible for his death.

The son of this imprisoned Saudi scholar tweeted on December 3: My father lost almost half of his sight and half of his hearing in prison.

Riyadh authorities arrested some missionaries and activists in September 2017, including Salman al-Awda, Awad al-Qarni, and Ali al-Omari on charges of terrorism and conspiracy against the country, and some international and Islamic figures and institutions demanded their release.
