Niger; The new field of coercion between America and Russia

Colonel Amadou Abdel Rahman, a member of Niger’s military council, said in a statement broadcast on Niger’s national television: “France continues to deploy its forces in some ECOWAS countries in the framework of preparation and preparation for the invasion of Niger, which it has planned in cooperation with the Economic Community of West African States.”

Meanwhile, on Saturday, the French Foreign Ministry rejected the move towards military intervention in Niger, and its spokesperson announced that Paris supports initiatives and regional efforts to resolve the crisis and return law to Niger.

The relations between Niger and France have been strained since the military coup in Niger and the removal of President Mohamed Bazoum, who had good relations with Paris. From the beginning, ECOWAS threatened military and armed intervention if the negotiations failed, an option that France supported.
