Al-Sudani: Baghdad has become an arena for finding solutions and partnerships

Pak Sahafat – On Sunday, the Prime Minister of Iraq said in a meeting with the delegation of the Council of Saudi Arabia that Badar has become an arena for finding solutions and partnerships that contribute to the stability of the region.

According to the report of Pak Sahafat News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani met with the delegation of Saudi Arabia’s parliament on Sunday in Baghdad.

In this meeting, he emphasized the importance of continuing and strengthening relations between Baghdad and Riyadh and said that the current government, as soon as it started its activities, took the path of strengthening relations with the countries of the region.

Continuing his speech, al-Sudani said: “Baghdad has become an arena for finding solutions and partnerships that contribute to the stability of the region.”

The Saudi delegation also emphasized in this meeting that Riyadh is waiting for participation in the proposed development projects and investment opportunities in Iraq.

A few days ago, during the meeting of Iranian media and journalists with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani in Baghdad, he answered a question about the news published about his country’s mediation between Iran and some Arab countries.

In response to the question of the Fars correspondent, he confirmed that Iraq is mediating between Iran and several Arab countries, but said that because this issue is completely confidential, he will not reveal the details of this mediation and the names of the countries until the results are obtained.

In the shadow of Iraq’s success in mediating between Iran and Saudi Arabia and holding several rounds of negotiations between the two sides and finally signing an agreement on the resumption of relations between the two sides in Beijing, news about Baghdad’s attempt to mediate between Iran and several Arab countries, including Jordan, Bahrain , Egypt.

The Iraqi Prime Minister considered the issue confidential and while confirming the mediation efforts of his country in this regard and continuing Baghdad’s initiative in this regard, he avoided presenting the names of the Arab countries mentioned and more details.
