Yemeni military expert: All options are on the table to discipline Saudi Arabia

Pak Sahafat – A prominent Yemeni military and strategic affairs expert said: If Saudi Arabia does not end the aggression; all options are on the table to make it polite.

In an interview with IRNA, Major General Abdullah Al-Jafari added: Our hands are extended to all for a just and honorable peace, but if the enemy does not want to stop the aggression, the eighth year of battle and resistance will be full of surprises that do not enter the minds of the aggressors.

Stating that we are defending ourselves, he said: We do not trust the promises and claims of the Saudis and we do not count on their words.

Al-Jafri said: The Saudi regime has disappointed everyone and has dishonestly exposed itself and its oil facilities and vital infrastructure to more attacks.

A former Yemeni Air Force spokesman added: We welcome peace, but this peace must meet the demands of the independent nation of Yemen, be equal to the sacrifice of the martyrs and our great nation, maintain the independence of the country, and guarantee non-interference in the internal affairs of Yemen and good neighborliness.

Al-Jaafari said that if others want peace with these characteristics, we are ready, adding: Peace and ceasefire is a complete set of conditions that must be adhered to because without ending the aggression, lifting the siege and ending the occupation, no lasting and comprehensive peace can be established.

He stated: The next step is to look at other details, including compensation, reconstruction, and obtaining regional and international guarantees to prevent a recurrence of the aggression.

Al-Jafri said: Today, Saudi Arabia is in a weak and vulnerable position and wants to get out of this abyss.

Yemeni Member of Parliament added: If Saudi Arabia wants to get out of this impasse, it must accept responsibility for all the destruction, economic, political damage and social division that it has caused, show goodwill and guarantee that these events will not happen again.

Al-Jafri stated: The Saudi regime must learn a lesson and know that today the facts have changed and Yemen today is not the Yemen of yesterday and it will no longer be the backyard of Saudi Arabia like it was 50 years ago.

He said: Saudi Arabia must accept that today Yemen is independent and that it has independent political decisions and does not interfere in our internal affairs, just as we do not interfere in their internal affairs and as we do not encroach on their territory they should not invade our country and they should not occupy our land.

Suspension of Saudi coalition military operations in Yemen

Al-Jafari added: The latest attack on the Saudi oil facilities was in fact breaking the pride of this country and all its allies in attacking Yemen.

He added: The third phase of the operation to break the siege ended very painfully for Saudi Arabia, and this was the first time that the Yemeni army’s statement to Saudi Arabia was published by the international media.

The expert on military and strategic issues said: Of course, the media close to Saudi Arabia tried to present the attack as a threat to the world’s energy resources and open the door for the United States and Britain to go to war.

Al-Jafari added: The operation had clear military, political and economic messages, and as far as Saudi Arabia was concerned, Tehran and the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that Riyadh had asked for our mediation between them and the Yemenis.

He said: This request of Saudi Arabia was due to the fact that the country has become somewhat polite with the latest attack and is looking for a mediator, because this operation was very costly for them.

Al-Jafari added: The operation targeted multimillion-dollar missiles and drones with $ 5 million in facilities and infrastructure.

Al-Jafari added: Saudi Arabia violated its ceasefire hours later on Wednesday, launching artillery shelling on a civilian area of Saada province at 4:30 a.m., injuring a number of civilians.

He added: They are not and are not honest in their claims, and in these cases, they only play with words and expressions and cover up their failures and worries by diverting the thoughts of some ignorant people and their forces. But these measures cannot deceive the military commanders in Sanaa.

Al-Jafri clarified: The deadline for the aggressors expired after 72 hours, and the Yemeni Supreme Political Council regretted in a statement that the offer had not been accepted by Saudi Arabia.

The Yemeni military and strategic expert said: In recent years, the term ceasefire has been used many times, but soon after its announcement, they intensified military operations.

Al-Jaafari stating that until Saudi Arabia accepts the ceasefire, political and military measures will be taken to counter it, added: We are ready for a political solution to a lasting and comprehensive peace, but in the military field, to defend the land and honor and to respond to the aggressors, we will continue to attack vital targets deep in Saudi territory.
