Pak Sahafat – The Zionist regime plans to build two new settlements for the occupying Zionists in occupied Jerusalem, which will accommodate more than 3,800 residential units.

According to the report of Pak Sahafat International News Agency, Zionist sources announced that the occupation regime’s planning and construction committee in occupied Jerusalem will examine two new plans on Monday of this week, which are about the construction of Israeli settlements in this city.

Quds Network reported quoting these sources, in the first plan; a new town will be built in the heart of Ras al-Amoud neighborhood in Selwan town. This settlement contains 384 residential units and will probably be a key point of tension between the Palestinian people and the Israeli settlers.

The second plan will be in the southern part of Jerusalem and near the settlement of “Jefat Hamatos”. This Samal settlement will have 3,500 residential units, hotels with 1,300 rooms and commercial areas. The entity called “Atirat Kohanim”, which is responsible for the construction of Israeli settlements, will be responsible for the construction of these settlements.

Eliyahu referred to the West Bank of Palestine with their Hebrew names and added: “Our sovereignty must be applied to the regions of Judea and Samaria (referring to the West Bank). This should be done as soon as possible and as intelligently as possible.”

Tor Winsland, the special coordinator of the United Nations in the Middle East peace process, emphasized in response to this occupation: All the settlements that the Zionists built in the West Bank are illegal and are an obstacle to peace, and the lack of moving towards a political horizon has created a vacuum.

He stated that the Zionist authorities should stop the destruction of the properties of the Palestinian people and clarified that the Israeli army should show the utmost self-restraint. The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is also very unfavorable and this sector is facing a power outage.

In the end, this UN official said that the Relief and Employment Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) needs 35 million dollars to maintain food aid to 1,200,000 Palestinians in Gaza.
