Slaughter of the United Nations Charter for America’s political goals!

The resolution to remove Iran from the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women was approved with 29 votes in favor, 8 votes against and 16 abstentions.

According to Pak Sahafat news agency, in continuation of the combined war against the Iranian nation, the United States voted today Wednesday on the draft resolution that it had previously prepared to cancel Iran’s membership of the Commission on the Status of Women in the United Nations Social and Economic Council (ECOSOC), with 29 votes in favor against 8 votes.

The anti-Iranian resolution that was approved today in this council is a clear violation of the statute because there is no mention of canceling the members’ membership.

Iran’s membership in the Commission on the Status of Women was canceled while, based on international statistics, the status of women in the Islamic Republic has always been growing and has a higher position compared to many member countries of this commission.

What happened today in the meeting of this council is an action against the existential philosophy of the formation of the United Nations and the principle of multilateralism, and it shows the political decision of Washington and imposing its will on other countries, and worse, the Secretary General of the United Nations has remained silent in the face of this dangerous heresy.

It is a shame for the international community that even the ambassadors of the European governments have told the Iranian representative that this American action is against the rules and unprecedented, but we cannot oppose it!

On the other hand; If the drafters of this resolution were really concerned about the status of women in Iranian society, they should have presented their alleged cases with documents and evidence in the aforementioned commission and heard answers about them instead of suspending Iran’s membership.

On the other hand; The cancellation of Iran’s membership of the Commission on the Status of Women occurred while there were definitely more serious priorities regarding widespread crimes against women, such as those committed by the Zionist regime in Palestine or what is happening to female prisoners in the United States.

There is no doubt that the presented image of the situation of Iranian women is only a product of distortion of facts and fake media portrayals, and unfortunately, in this case, the dignity and position of an international legal institution was slaughtered at the foot of the political and unilateralist ambitions of the oppressive and aggressor countries.
