America’s acknowledgment of fear of technology transfer between Iran and Russia

Pak Sahafat – The spokesperson of the US State Department, while continuing the anti-Iranian claims about the war in Ukraine, acknowledged Washington’s fear of transferring technology between Iran and Russia.

Ned Price, the spokesman of the US State Department, admitted in a meeting with reporters in Washington on Wednesday evening local time: We are extremely worried about the transfer of technology between Russia and Iran and we use various tools at our disposal to disrupt it.

By repeating the claims about Russia’s use of Iranian drones in the war in Ukraine, he claimed that the drones that Iran has provided to Russia are very deadly and destructive to the infrastructure of Ukraine.

The spokesperson of the US State Department claimed: Iran’s provision of lethal drones to Russia, which are used to attack Ukrainian civilians, is cause for concern.

Ned Price also claimed about another claim that we have also expressed our concern about the possibility of sending Iranian missiles to Russia and the expansion of cooperation between these two countries in other fields.

At the same time, he added, as the American officials have announced, we do not have any information regarding the possible delivery of Iran’s ballistic missiles to Russia.

The spokesperson of the US State Department claimed that Russia may ask for help from other countries, including Iran and North Korea, to replace its weapons reserves.

John Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator of the White House’s National Security Council, also announced before Ned Price that the United States has not seen evidence that Iran transferred ballistic missiles to Russia for use against Ukraine.

This senior White House official claimed: We know that Russia’s defense industrial base is under pressure. They cannot keep up with their weaponry needs.

The West, led by the United States, has been making anti-Iranian claims for months now, at the same time as tensions escalated in the war in Ukraine, which Tehran categorically rejects. The United States first claimed to send Iranian drones, and after that, it claimed the possible transfer of surface-to-surface missiles from Iran to Russia for use in this war.

On the sidelines of the first international meeting of the group of friends defending the United Nations Charter in Tehran, Hossein Amir abdollahian added: I would like to emphasize that the fuss made by some western countries that the Islamic Republic of Iran has provided Russia with missiles and drones to help the war in Ukraine, what they have raised about the missile sector is completely wrong and the issues related to drones are correct.

He pointed out: We have provided Russia with a limited amount of drones, months before the war in Ukraine, and we agreed with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine that if they have any documents that Russia has used Iranian drones in Ukraine, they should provide them to us.

The ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in New York says: Iran has continuously supported peace and an immediate end to the war in Ukraine, and despite the agreement on bilateral defense cooperation, it has never given the warring parties weapons to use in the war in Ukraine.

Iran’s representation in the United Nations also sent a note to the Washington Post, following the newspaper’s new claims regarding the launch of a UAV production line in Russia, and emphasized: Following the claim of using Iranian drones in the conflicts in Ukraine, Iran requested a joint expert meeting with the Ukrainian authorities to investigate these claims.

The Iranian delegation also noted: The Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia, based on Fimabin agreements, have shared defense, scientific and research cooperation for many years, which goes back to before the start of the Ukraine war.

Iran’s delegation to the United Nations added: From the beginning of the crisis in Ukraine, the Islamic Republic of Iran has emphasized that all members of the United Nations must fully adhere to the principles and goals contained in the Charter of the United Nations and international laws, including sovereignty, independence, unity and respect the territorial integrity of countries.
