Qatar welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Palestinian groups and the Zionist regime

Pak Sahafat – The Foreign Minister of Qatar welcomed the ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian resistance groups and the Zionist regime in a telephone conversation with the foreign ministers of the United States and Egypt on Sunday morning.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Qatar’s official news agency (Qena), Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and his American counterpart Anthony Blinken welcomed the ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian groups and the Zionist regime.

According to this report, in the conversation between Qatar’s foreign minister and Blinken, the latest developments in Afghanistan and recent tensions in the Palestinian territories were discussed.

Mohammad Abd al-Rahman al-Thani also thanked the United States for supporting regional efforts to reach this agreement.

In this regard, the Foreign Minister of Qatar also spoke on the phone with “Sameh Shoukry”, the Foreign Minister of Egypt.

In this phone call, bilateral relations between the two countries, tensions in the Palestinian territories and Egypt’s efforts to establish a ceasefire were discussed.

In a conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, the Foreign Minister of Qatar welcomed the ceasefire agreement on Saturday night while condemning the bombing of civilian facilities and homes by the Zionist regime.

On Saturday night, news sources announced the beginning of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian resistance forces and the Zionist regime at 22:00 local time, with the mediation of Egypt.

In this regard, Al Jazeera reported that only minutes after the start of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, the alarm of the threat of rocket attacks was sounded in the Zionist settlements of the Gaza Strip.

Mohammad Al-Hindi, one of the leaders of the Islamic Jihad movement, told Al Jazeera: “The ceasefire agreement includes stopping the targeting of civilians, people and homes.”

He added: “We have strengths and capabilities that allow us to counter attacks, and the real guarantee is our unity against (the) Israeli regime.”

The Israeli army announced on Saturday that Palestinian groups have fired 1,234 rockets from Gaza at Israeli targets and that the Israeli army has attacked 371 targets in Gaza since the beginning of the recent developments.

The Israeli army added: Out of a total of 1,234 rockets fired by Palestinian groups, 976 rockets crossed the border of Gaza and entered the occupied territories.

Previously, the Hebrew-language media had admitted that the Islamic Jihad movement had sent two million Israelis to shelters and disrupted their lives by launching 1,200 rockets.
