Pak Sahafat – News sources reported on Saturday night that the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia spoke on the phone with the UN Special Representative for Syria about this country.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Turkey’s Anatolia news agency, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister “Faisal bin Farhan” had a telephone conversation with United Nations Special Representative for Syria “Gir Pederson”.
According to this report, in this telephone conversation, the two sides discussed the latest efforts to reach a political solution in Syria that would allow the safe return of Syrian refugees.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry announced that Faisal bin Farhan and Pederson reviewed the efforts of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations to reach a political solution in Syria.
The ministry clarified that the political solution guarantees the security and stability of the Syrian people and the safe return of the Syrian refugees in accordance with the relevant international resolutions.
In this phone call, the two sides also discussed the most important developments in the regional and international arenas and the efforts made to achieve international peace and security.
This telephone conversation took place while Riyadh and Damascus announced last Tuesday that they will resume the activities of their diplomatic missions.
