Qatar: Supporting the Palestinians is at the top of Doha’s foreign policy priority

Pak Sahafat – Qatar’s foreign minister said on Thursday night that supporting the Palestinian people is at the top of the country’s foreign policy priorities.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Al Jazeera, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said: “Supporting the Palestinians and their standing is at the top of Qatar’s foreign policy priority.”

He added: “The recent events in Jerusalem are a serious warning and the country of Qatar has supported the Palestinian resistance.”

Qatar’s Foreign Minister added: The world is dealing with double standards regarding what happened in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Thani further said: We are in contact with Jordan, Egypt and America to prevent the Israelis from attacking Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Regarding Syria’s return to the Arab League, he added: Our position is clear and we have reasons to support the suspension of Syria’s membership in the Arab League, and these reasons still stand.

Qatar’s Foreign Minister also tweeted on Sunday night while condemning the attacks of the Zionists on the Palestinian worshipers, and wrote that the aggression of the Zionist regime on Al-Aqsa Mosque is unacceptable.

He said that Israel’s continuous aggressions (regime) and attempts to change the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque by preventing I’tikaf, attacking worshipers and normalizing attacks with the aim of dividing time or place in Al-Aqsa Mosque are unacceptable.
