Mufti of Russia: Quds Day is an opportunity to protest Israel’s crimes

Pak Sahafat – The head of the Muslim Religious Department and the head of the Council of Mufti of Russia said: By participating in the special ritual of World Quds Day, we clearly declare our position in support of the Palestinian people and protest against the aggression that has continued even in the month of Ramadan by Israel.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Ainuddin said on Thursday evening while attending the Iftar banquet of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia: I remember unconditionally and with pride that in addition to the last three decades in the Grand Mosque of Moscow, we commemorated the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Quds Day, this is the day when we declare our unity and solidarity with the Palestinian people.

He continued: “This year, together with you, on Quds Day, the ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries will gather in the Grand Mosque of Moscow and we will announce the unified call of Islam and Muslims in support of the Holy Quds.”

In another part of his speech, the head of the religious administration of Russian Muslims expressed his satisfaction with the strengthening of Tehran-Moscow relations and appreciated the efforts made in this direction.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Ainuddin, who was accompanied by the deputies and officials of Muslim religious education centers in this country, considered the ambassador of Iran to be the holder of the badge of “pride” of Russian Muslims due to his extensive efforts.

The head of the Council of Muftis of Russia also appreciated the presence of Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the Grand Mosque of Moscow during his recent visit to this country and said: Ayatollah Raisi’s prayer in the Kremlin Palace was a historical event that was recorded in the eyes of the whole world.

He further referred to Imam Khomeini’s historic letter to Gorbachev before the collapse of the Soviet Union and said: On behalf of the then Soviet government, I welcomed Imam Khomeini’s representative who carried this message at the Moscow airport.

Sheikh Ravil Ainuddin continued: Even today, in this difficult and difficult time, we see that the two countries of Iran and Russia, in coordination and cooperation with each other, are confronting the evil that the Western countries are spreading and developing, and the development and the expansion of relations between these two countries has caused fear in some countries.

He stated that not only Muslims, but all Russian people are happy that the leaders of Tehran and Moscow have an understanding and have found a common language for the development of relations, and the development of relations is ongoing at different levels.

Referring to the recent developments in the country, the head of the Council of Muftis of Russia said: We believe that the president of our country, Vladimir Putin, defends the right and justice. He defends the right to have an independent life and that we have family, cultural and religious beliefs and traditions and defend our values ​​that are consistent with our understanding of our Muslims and he defends the divine principles and commandments of our holy religion.

Kazem Jalali, the ambassador and plenipotentiary representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, also thanked the efforts of Sheikh Ravil Ainuddin, the head of the religious administration of the Russian Muslims, in order to promote the religion of Islam and protect Islamic values ​​in this country.

Referring to the enemies’ efforts to distort Islam and form radical ideas, he said: We are happy that in the Russian Federation, with the high management and high vision of Mr. Putin, the President of this country, religious religions live peacefully.

Stating that Islam is a religion of mercy, love and solidarity, he said: In the current situation, it is necessary that we Muslims, regardless of the differences that may exist in some religions, take a step towards greater unity with a lot of commonalities, and today we are happy that this approach exists among Muslims and religious scholars in Russia.

In this ceremony, which was held with the presence of the deputies of the Department of Religious Affairs of Russian Muslims and educational centers of Islamic sciences in this country, as well as officials of religious and cultural institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran based in Moscow, the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations and cooperation.
