Peruvian political crisis; the army was accused of shadow government

Pak Sahafat – More than a month after the deep political-social crisis in Peru, while the government continues to suppress the protests, the party of the ousted president accused the Peruvian army of shadow government during the political crisis prevailing in the country.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, quoting from the Sputnik Mundo website, the Free Peru Party (Perú Libre), the party supporting the deposed president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, announced that the country’s military forces, which are ruling the people in the shadows, are taking advantage of the political crisis that the country is experiencing and must be held accountable for their responsibility in the current situation.

This key Peruvian political party stated in a statement: The people will continue their struggle, there should not be more repression than what has been imposed on the people. People who oppress people in the shadows must show their faces and at this stage, by accepting their responsibility, reduce the violence; they should be condemned and punished because there are no coups without punishment in today’s world.

The “Free Peru” party, whose activity led to the victory of Pedro Castillo in the presidential elections and is currently accused of rebellion, believes that “the supporters of the new president of this country, Dina Blouarte, are fueling a terrifying narrative among Peruvians; This is creating fear among the people that if the president resigns, a military regime will be imposed.”

In this statement, it is stated: The scary hypothesis that they convey to the people according to the historical records and in an imperceptible, effective and real way is that the situation will get worse with Bloorte’s departure. Jose Williams Zapata, the President of the Congress, will take office, and since he is a military man, he will show no mercy to the people. Also, harassment and repression against people and social and political organizations will increase.

Congressman Valdemar Ceron Rojas and the ideological secretary of the Peru Azad Party shared this statement on his Twitter page; One of the important points of the published text is that Blouarte has been accused because of the support of the right-wing members of the parliament, non-governmental organizations and the US government.

Strikes, marches, and clashes continued in various regions of Peru yesterday, Monday, and in some regions, due to the anti-government protests that have intensified since two weeks ago, people have faced a shortage of goods.

Since the 7th of December, following the removal of the former president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, the anger of the protesters has not yet subsided, and the protesters are demanding the resignation of the new president, Dina Blouarte.

Beloarte’s resignation, along with the request to convene a Constituent Assembly and prepare a new constitution, the shutdown of Congress and the early holding of elections in 2023, are the main factors of the dissatisfaction of the Peruvian people and the massive mobilization of citizens to organize mass demonstrations in recent weeks.
