Newsweek: Ukraine is following the way of ISIS

Pak Sahafat – Newsweek magazine wrote in a report that the Ukrainian army follows the methods of the ISIS terrorist group in the war with Russia.

According to the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, Newsweek reported Wednesday that Ukrainian battalions, including the White Wolves, are recording bird’s-eye footage for social media consumption to bring real battles closer to war games.

According to this American publication, some of these imaging techniques are modeled after ISIS. The terrorist group released artificial, edited and sometimes graphically violent videos as part of its recruitment campaign to demonstrate its legitimacy, inspire supporters and intimidate its enemies.

Newsweek continued in this report: Ukraine’s “White Wolves” unit has released videos during the conflict showing how the forces destroy Russian targets, including tanks. One such clip, tweeted by Ukraine’s security service in March, shows an aerial view of military vehicles being targeted and detonated.

Russia: Ukraine resembles the worst terrorist organizations

Sean Huston at the South Carolina War College told Newsweek that the clip is a great example of the “gamification” of war videos, which is linked to the video techniques employed by ISIS.

Russia and Ukraine are pursuing different goals in the types of videos produced during the war. According to his assessment, Russia is focused on recruitment, while Ukraine hopes to gain military and financial support from the West.

He believes that Ukraine has understood this and is reverse engineering the most important or some of the most important approaches of ISIS propaganda.

This American magazine wrote about Ukraine’s goal of making the film and publishing it on virtual networks: For Ukraine, the effort to capture high-quality video is more important than the battlefield scenes. Because frontline war films must attract enough viewers globally. Ukrainians have made this their strategy to ensure that the country’s battle with Russia is not forgotten and to prove that the West’s financial and military support to Kiev was not in vain.
