Confirming the withdrawal of the UAE from the US naval alliance in the Persian Gulf

Pak Sahafat – By confirming the withdrawal from the American maritime alliance in the Persian Gulf two months ago, the UAE also announced that it will adhere to its obligations regarding maritime security.

According to the report of the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE confirmed the country’s withdrawal from the US-led maritime coalition in the Persian Gulf, and at the same time announced that it rejects the wrong interpretations of its negotiations with the US on maritime security.

It is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE that The UAE government adheres to peaceful dialogue and diplomatic ways as tools to strengthen common goals, including regional security and stability. And in line with the continuous assessment of active and effective security cooperation with all partners, the UAE government has withdrawn from the integrated naval force (US coalition in the Persian Gulf) two months ago.

The statement added that the UAE government continues to adhere to its obligations to ensure maritime safety in the seas in a responsible manner based on international laws.
