Alarm of information theft by Israeli hackers in Pakistan

Pak Sahafat – After the publication of some reports about the activities of Israeli hackers in stealing the personal information of citizens in Pakistan, this issue has caused the concern of the government of Islamabad, and Pakistani officials have warned the ministry and other important institutions of this country and demanded to strengthen cyber security.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Pakistani media, Government sources of this country have confirmed that Israeli hacker companies are involved in stealing personal information of citizens in Pakistan and due to the sensitivity of this issue, an urgent and binding directive has been issued to all relevant institutions and important ministries of Pakistan to prevent the exchange of personal information with suspicious companies.

The federal government of Pakistan has warned all officials in the states and ministries about the activities of Israeli hackers. This is while, according to the latest reports, Israeli hackers have recently started stealing citizens’ personal information through various social networks.

The Pakistani newspaper “Jang” published in Rawalpindi wrote today: Israeli and Russian hackers have been involved in stealing the secret and very sensitive information of Pakistan and government sources in Islamabad have confirmed that these hackers are trying to access the information of some important officials.

The government of Pakistan has given a serious warning about the movements of Israeli hackers and asked the relevant institutions to increase cyber security and data protection, especially in important institutions.

The government of Pakistan expressed serious concern about the reports of international media about the use of Israeli spyware known as “Pegasus” by some countries to hack the mobile phones and computers of important personalities, including the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The website of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has been hacked due to a cyber-attack that has disrupted the payment of thousands of government employees and pensioners.

In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan announced that due to the seriousness of these reports, we ask the relevant institutions in the United Nations to investigate the matter completely reveal the facts and hold the main perpetrators accountable.

In the summer of 2021, the biggest information server of Pakistan Federal Revenue Authority (FBR) was also cyber attacked and it is said that hackers managed to enter the central system of this Pakistani financial institution.
