Israel closed the door again; Desperation to attract Bahraini and Emirati tourists

Pak Sahafat – An Arab media reported the disappointment of the leaders of the Zionist regime in attracting tourists from Arab countries in the Persian Gulf region and wrote: Tel Aviv has failed to achieve its goals in the field of tourism after the agreements to normalize relations with the UAE and Bahrain in 2020 and public opposition to establishing relations with this regime.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, “Khalij Online” news site wrote in a report on Sunday: Israel concluded several agreements with the UAE on one hand and with Bahrain on the other hand for bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism, and the three parties have taken heart in these agreements during the last two years due to the global crisis and problems in other economic sectors.

In September 2020, the Al-Khalifa government in Bahrain signed an agreement to normalize relations with the Zionist regime known as the “Ibrahim Agreement” together with the UAE in the White House and in the presence of former US President Donald Trump.

Despite the propaganda efforts of the Zionist authorities to attract tourists to the occupied Palestinian territory, especially the city of Quds, they failed to attract tourists from the Persian Gulf region, including the UAE and Bahrain, and only a handful of these countries traveled to the occupied Palestinian territory.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Israeli regime told the Associated Press: Two years have passed since the signing of the Ibrahim Agreement, but the expected level of tourists coming from the Persian Gulf countries to Israel (the Occupied Palestinian Territory) has not been as expected.

The ministry added: Although more than half a million Israelis have so far traveled to the United Arab Emirates, especially Abu Dhabi and Dubai, only 1,600 people have visited (Occupied Palestine) from the UAE and since the lifting of the Corona travel restrictions.

The Foreign Ministry of the Zionist regime continued that it does not have statistics on the number of Bahraini tourists, but admitted that this number is very small.

“Mersi Abu Al-Hijah”, the head of the Association of Arabic Language Tour Guides in the occupation regime, also said: “The situation is still very strange and sensitive, the Emiratis feel that coming here is a mistake.”

Amir Hayek, the ambassador of the Israeli regime in the UAE, also said: We should encourage Emiratis to visit Israel (Occupied Palestinian Territory), this is an urgent task and the two sides should get to know and understand each other.

According to Al-Khalij Online, “Don Weaverman”, the director of the “Partnership” company, which has the mission of promoting exchanges between the Zionist regime and the Arab world, said: There are still many doubts among the citizens of the Arab world (for a tourist trip to the occupied Palestinian territory).

The manager of this Israeli regime company said that he organized 2 tourist tours for Bahrainis and Emiratis to the occupied Palestinian territory, but after that, his efforts to attract Arab citizens from the Persian Gulf countries to travel to the occupied Palestinian territory did not yield results.

According to Al-Khalij Online, the issue of boycotting travel to the occupied Palestinian territory by Arab and Muslim tourists is not limited to Bahraini and Emirati citizens, but also from the tourism groups of Egypt and Jordan, the two countries that signed the first compromise agreements with the occupying regime.
