Hamas responds to threats by Israeli army chief of staff

A Hamas spokesman responded to yesterday’s threats by the Israeli army chief of staff to attack residential areas in Palestine and Lebanon.

Hazem Qasim, a spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), reacted to remarks by the Israeli army chief of staff that he would target residential areas in any tension with the movement.

He said on Wednesday: “Kukhawi’s remarks that the military is planning to target residential areas in any future conflict in Gaza or Lebanon show the Zionist enemy’s bullying and arrogance logic against our people and other groups of our ummah.”

A Hamas spokesman said Kukhawi’s threats to commit crimes against the Palestinian people or the Lebanese people were nothing new; Because the army of this regime has committed crimes and killings against the Arab nations of the region many times in every war and dream, but this time it is incapable of being able to succeed against the heroic resistance, and in any future confrontation this incapacity will accompany the Zionist enemy.

Hazem Qasim said that the resistance would support and defend the Palestinian people, adding that “Kokhawi is about to leave, as if the occupation will end and our resilient nation will remain in its lands.”
