Erdogan: Maybe the attack on Greece will happen overnight

In response to a journalist’s question about whether Turkey is really considering a military operation against Greece, he said in response to these statements: “We may come suddenly [to attack] one night.”

He said that what he said about this; it is not a dream [but reality.]

ErdoÄŸan continued: There are islands controlled by Greece and where they have built a military base, if Athens’ illegal threats against us continue, [we will take action]; because our patience also has a limit.

Erdogan also said that Greece’s actions, such as tracking Turkish fighter jets with radar, do not represent good news.

He rushed to Greece yesterday and said that Greece is not at our level, because it is not equal to Turkey politically, economically or militarily.

Erdogan’s threats are while the European Union has recently reacted to the threats of the Turkish President towards Greece a few days ago and has expressed concern about this.

According to the sources of the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey, in the first eight months of 2022, Greece has violated the airspace and territorial waters of Turkey more than 1,100 times.

Turkey, a NATO member for more than 70 years, has complained about Greece’s repeated rhetoric and provocative actions in the region in recent months, including the arming of islands off Turkey’s coast that are demilitarized under a treaty, saying the target of such measures is to neutralize the efforts based on goodwill of this country in favor of peace.

Erdogan’s three-day trip to the Balkans began on Tuesday with a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia.
