Killing journalists is the custom of the Zionists

Pak Sahafat – News sources in Occupied Palestine announced that the Zionists forces martyred another journalist named Nidal Aghbariyeh in the city of Umm al-Fahm.

According to the available statistics related to the killing of journalists of different media in occupied Palestine, since the occupation of this land in 1948, 72 journalists have been killed by the Zionist military against all standards and international charters related to media work in crisis areas.

According to Palestinian sources, journalists of various media based in this country are always threatened from two sides, one by the Zionist military when they commit crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people, and the other by radical Zionists (Haredi) based in this land.

Another threat to journalists during media activity by the Zionist regime is their arrest and imprisonment along with torture and other types of mistreatment.

According to the announcement of September 15th, the Committee to Support Palestinian Journalists currently has 21 journalists from different media, including three women, in prisons in the Zionist regime.

According to the announcement of this committee, journalists detained in violation of international treaties that guarantee the freedom of the press are tried in military courts with racist laws and are exposed to all kinds of repression and psychological torture, and they are deprived of basic rights such as family visits and medical treatment.

Hamas: The occupying regime should be punished for the assassination of Abu Aqla

Helmi Al-Araj, director of the Center for Freedoms in Occupied Palestine, believes that the authorities of the Zionist regime should be punished for their crimes against journalists in occupied Palestine in connection with the killing and arrest of journalists in occupied Palestine.

Referring to the role of the Palestinian people in helping to document this connection and presenting them to the International Criminal Court to prepare the preparations for this trial, he added that this is not the first time they have committed a crime.

The director of the Center for Freedoms in Palestine emphasized that all international organizations and institutions, including the United Nations, must fulfill their legal responsibilities regarding Israel’s illegal actions against journalists and prosecute war criminals.

Al-Araji stated, unfortunately, with all these actions of the Zionists, we are now witnessing the double standards of the international institutions regarding Israel’s war crimes, and whenever Zionism is involved, the international community remains silent.

Israel’s crimes and actions against journalists are taking place while this regime has refused to provide an explanation regarding the killing of this Palestinian-American journalist following the testimony of Abu Aqla and the request of the United States as its all-round supporter, and this is the subject of criticism.

Despite the Zionist regime’s insistence on the impossibility of determining the source of the shooting at Abu Aqla, the United States of America had previously demanded to identify the person responsible for his murder, but Tel Aviv still does not comply with such a request and conduct investigations related to the identification of the perpetrator of this crime and his trial.

Hanan Ashrawi, one of the Palestinian politicians, wrote in a tweet in this connection: obvious ambiguity, false conclusions and lies; The Israeli army has decided to pretend to be innocent in the death of Abu Aqla, and this is disgusting.

Omar Shaker, director of the Israel and Palestine department at Human Rights Watch, also pointed out that all the evidence shows that Israeli forces killed Abu Aqla and that the army’s report is a cover-up of the facts.

All the efforts of Tel Aviv to avoid identifying and prosecuting the person responsible for the murder of this journalist, while Ravina Shamdasani, the UN Human Rights Commissioner, had previously announced that the results of the investigation into the martyrdom of the Palestinian journalist of Al Jazeera channel by the Zionists show that he was killed by the military.

The conclusion of the speech is that the crime of the Zionist regime against journalists is a continuation of similar crimes of this regime against children, babies imprisoned with their mothers, historical murders and massacres such as Sabra and Shatila and other camps in Lebanon and Palestine, the bombing of residential areas in Gaza and the West Bank the blockade of Gaza for more than a decade and preventing the entry of medicine and fuel, the burning alive of Egyptian prisoners during the 1967 war, and dozens of similar cases are taking place with the support of Western countries, especially the United States and England.

There is room for such actions and crimes, including killing an average of one journalist every year since the occupation of Palestine, serial cases such as the corruption cases of Benjamin Netanyahu, the former prime minister of the Zionist regime, to try the leaders of this regime in international courts and its supporters.
