Al-Sudani: ISIS no longer has a presence in Iraq and has been defeated

Pak Sahafat – The Iraqi Prime Minister Shia al-Sudani explained the results of his trip to Germany and the Munich Security Conference.

According to the report of the international group of Pak Sahafat News Agency, “Mohammed Shia al-Sudani”, the Prime Minister of Iraq, said in an interview: The Munich security and political conference is one of the most important conferences in the world, where the presence of different countries in the world and its security aspect had a great contribution to the dialogues and bilateral meetings at the level of assemblies.

He added: Through this conference, Iraq explained its view of the security situation in the region and emphasized that the security of Iraq is a guarantee for the security and stability of the region and as a result of the whole world. Through this presence, we showed the potential of our security apparatuses and their growing capabilities in fighting terrorism and chasing ISIS anywhere.

He continued: We emphasized that today ISIS is no longer present and has been defeated. We showed the importance of cooperation and information exchange between security agencies and their counterparts in the region and the world; we also emphasized the importance of the international response in supporting Iraq through the return of wanted persons and those accused of terrorism cases, an important aspect of which is to stop the financing of terrorist groups.

The Prime Minister of Iraq emphasized: The above is the message that we expressed during 26 meetings in 48 hours at our residence in Munich, with senior security officials and politicians at the level of prime ministers and ministers of several countries around the world, as well as officials of international organizations.

Regarding the results of these meetings, Al-Sudani said: The officials who met with him expressed understanding, real support and agreement with Iraq’s point of view in the security and political field of the region, and this is an important factor and one of the goals of our participation in the Munich conference through these meetings.

The Iraqi Prime Minister stated: The bilateral meetings of the members of the Iraqi delegation generally conveyed the message of Iraq and the government’s point of view to these parties, and this is an essential factor in security and political understandings.

Consultation with the US Secretary of State

US Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken, in a meeting with Kurdistan Regional President Nechirvan Barzani, emphasized his country’s commitment to relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and discussed the relations between Erbil and Baghdad.

Barzani also pointed out the importance of continuing US support to Iraq and the Kurdistan region in dealing with the challenges ahead. Examining the general situation of the region was another focus of this meeting.

Iraqi Foreign Minister’s stance on the war in Ukraine

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hossein met with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kolba on the sidelines of his attendance at the 59th Munich Security Conference.

In this meeting, Fouad Hossein emphasized Iraq’s desire for a cease-fire, ending the war, and turning to negotiations and resolving disputes through peaceful means with Russia.

And he said that Iraq is always against the policy of war because of the damage it suffered as a result of the war.

Referring to the results of recent meetings and international efforts in this field, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasized that his country is eager to end this war.

The two sides also discussed the prospects of bilateral relations and promotion of joint cooperation in various fields.

The reaction of the Iraqi government to the article of “Al-Sabah” newspaper about the climate

This survey has no scientific basis and is far from the truth.
