The King of Jordan considered the international community’s support for the Palestinian issue to be essential

Pak Sahafat – King Abdullah II of Jordan called the international community’s support for the Palestinian nation necessary.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, citing the “Ammon” news site, Abdullah II said these words in a meeting with “Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas” at Al-Husseiniyeh Palace in Amman.

He considered it necessary to try to find a political horizon to resume serious and effective negotiations to solve the Palestinian issue based on the solution of forming two independent states.

In this meeting, Abdullah II emphasized the firm position of this country towards the Palestinian issue and continued support for Islamic and Christian holy places in Jerusalem.

The king of Jordan said that his country fully supports the Palestinians to achieve their legitimate rights and establish an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, centered on East Jerusalem.

He warned about the dangers of the lack of a political horizon and its consequences on the security and stability of the region, saying that all unilateral and illegal actions of the Zionist regime must be stopped.

Abbas also appreciated Jordan’s firm positions on the Palestinian issue and supporting the country’s nation and its cause in international circles.
