These sources announced that the time of Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan’s trip to Damascus was set after Eid al-Fitr.
The mentioned sources also emphasized that it is likely that the Saudi Arabian consulate will be reopened after the completion of the necessary arrangements during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the reports of these sources, the meetings between Saudi and Syrian officials were at the diplomatic, military and intelligence level, as several delegations traveled from Syria to Riyadh and from Riyadh to Syria.
Informed sources emphasized that some of the meetings took place during the visit of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the UAE.
In response to a question about whether there is a possibility of Bashar Assad’s visit to Riyadh and the possibility of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to Damascus, knowledgeable sources said: Everything is possible.
