According to the report of the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, Sputnik news agency reported that the mediation of Russia and the United Arab Emirates has led to the removal of existing problems and challenges in front of the opening of the Saudi diplomatic mission in Damascus.

This Russian media reported, quoting informed sources, based on the agreements made, we will witness the reopening of the Saudi Consulate in Damascus on Eid al-Fitr.

According to Sputnik: The signing of the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran gave a double acceleration to this process, and we are going to witness the opening of the Saudi consulate in Damascus after Eid al-Fitr.

Before that, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan is scheduled to visit Syria and meet and talk with Syrian officials, including President Bashar al-Assad.

Exactly 12 years ago, it was during these days that Saudi Arabia cut off its diplomatic relations with Damascus.
