Sanaa: Riyadh has no desire for peace

Reacting to the cancellation of the Yemeni people’s business trips by the Saudi coalition, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government (Sanaa) said that the Saudis have no desire for peace.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency International group, Sanaa Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Aziz blamed the Saudi coalition for halting the peace process and shifting its commitments to facilitate travel to Sanaa International Airport.

According to Al-Mayadin, the Yemeni Deputy Foreign Minister spoke today (Monday) about the conditions and situation of the Saudi coalition’s withdrawal from facilitating air travel from Sanaa International Airport.

Al-Azi wrote in a Twitter message: “This retreat of the Saudi coalition and its mercenaries took place while we had unilaterally released a large number of their captives’ hours earlier.”

He further mentioned:  The Saudi coalition’s move reflected the fact that they have no desire to move towards peace. In addition, they showed that they are not ready to do anything in the process of building trust; unless proven otherwise, there can be no further interpretation of the Saudi coalition’s actions.

Earlier, the Yemeni Minister of Transport accused the United Nations of collaborating with the Saudi coalition following the delay in reopening the Sanaa International Airport. The first flights from the airport were scheduled for yesterday.

The first commercial flight was scheduled to depart from Sanaa International Airport yesterday [after a six-year siege]. But the Yemeni National Salvation Government suddenly announced that the Saudi coalition had refused to issue a permit for the flight via Sanaa Airport to Jordan.

Meanwhile, Yemeni Ansarullah yesterday (Sunday) in a humanitarian and unilateral action released 42 prisoners of the Saudi coalition on the eve of Eid al-Fitr.
