“Bin Farhan’s” answer to why Saudi Arabia is taking action in “resuming relations with Iran”

Pak Sahafat – The foreign minister of Saudi Arabia explained the reasons for his country’s action in resuming relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the report of the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, in response to the agreement between this country and the Islamic Republic of Iran to resume relations, said that the common destiny of the countries of the region necessitates the establishment of a model for stability.

Bin Farhan emphasized in his tweet: The resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran originates from the perspective of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which prefers political solutions and dialogue, and also expresses its desire to consolidate this issue in the region. The countries of the region have a common destiny and common ties, and these factors make it necessary to participate and cooperate in establishing examples and models for the prosperity and stability that our nations can benefit from.

The countries of Iran, Saudi Arabia and China announced in a joint statement on Friday, March 10, 2023 that as a result of the talks, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia agreed to resume diplomatic relations and reopen embassies and missions within a maximum of two months.
