Zelensky’s hand to Netanyahu’s breast about the anti-Israel resolution of the United Nations

Pak Sahafat – Informed sources revealed that the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime asked the President of Ukraine, Kiev to vote against the UN resolution against the occupation of this regime, but the President of Ukraine has opposed this request.

According to the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, several Ukrainian and Israeli officials reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, asked him to vote against a resolution against the regime in the UN General Assembly.

This resolution is about the UN General Assembly’s request to the International Court of Justice to formulate and express its legal opinion regarding the consequences of the occupation of (parts of) Palestinian land. The United Nations considers the presence of the Zionist regime in parts of Palestine as occupation.

The Axios news-analytical website quoted the above officials who did not mention their names and wrote, Ukraine had previously voted in favor of this resolution at the level of a UN committee, but its representative did not attend Friday’s voting session of the General Assembly to give a second chance to relations with Netanyahu.

The UN General Assembly approved this resolution on Friday with 87 positive votes against 24 negative votes and 53 abstentions. According to this resolution, the International Court of Justice (The Hague Court) will compile its advisory opinion regarding the occupation of the West Bank by the Zionist regime in a process that will probably take one to two years. The United Nations General Assembly requested The Hague Court to issue a verdict on the legal consequences of the violation of the Palestinian nation’s right to self-determination, the long-term occupation, settlements, and the actions of the Zionist regime to change the population situation in the occupied Jerusalem.

A few weeks ago, Kiev did not accept Tel Aviv’s request to vote against this resolution at the level of a UN committee due to the regime’s refusal to provide military aid to its army. At that time, the Israeli foreign ministry officials were angry with this action and summoned the Ukrainian ambassador.

According to Axios, Netanyahu, who was sworn in as the new prime minister of the Zionist government on Thursday, also contacted Zelensky during a series of phone calls with the leaders of several countries that had previously voted in favor of the resolution. Tel Aviv asked them to change their vote and oppose the resolution or at least abstain, a senior Israeli official told Axios.

A Ukrainian official also told this American base, during this telephone conversation with Netanyahu, Zelensky said, in exchange for voting against this resolution, the new Zionist government demands an explanation regarding changing the policy of this regime and providing defense systems to Ukraine to counter Russian attacks with ballistic missiles and Iranian-made drones, but Netanyahu did not commit to anything in this conversation and said that he is ready to talk about some of Zelensky’s requests in the future.

According to this Ukrainian official, Zelensky also did not like this answer and did not agree to give a negative or abstention vote to the resolution. (At the same time, he did not vote positively and) instead, he ordered the ambassador of Ukraine to the United Nations not to attend the voting session.

According to Axios, a senior Israeli official also stated that although Ukraine ultimately did not vote positively on the resolution, this regime was upset by Kiev’s decision in this regard.

Netanyahu’s office told Axios: Netanyahu spoke with Zelensky, and Ukraine, which had previously voted in favor of the anti-Israel resolution, did not participate in the vote this time. Other than that, we will not comment on diplomatic talks.

Zelensky tweeted on Saturday that he congratulated Netanyahu on his re-appointment as prime minister in a telephone conversation. He wrote: We discussed bilateral cooperation between our governments, including in the field of security and interaction in international organizations. We also implemented the Ukrainian peace formula.
