Yemeni Parliament: Let the UN be responsible for the suffering of our nation

Pak Sahafat – The Yemeni House of Representatives issued a statement Saturday night calling on the UN Security Council and the international community to live up to their moral and humanitarian responsibilities in the face of the Yemeni people.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from the Yemeni “Al-Masira” network, the Yemeni House of Representatives also stressed that the ceasefire would include the complete lifting of the blockade of ports, airports and intercity crossings, including in Taiz province.

At the suggestion of the United Nations, a two-month ceasefire was established in Yemen on April 2nd (April 13th), the most important of which was the entry of 18 fuel-carrying ships into the ports of Al-Hudaidah and the permission of two weekly round-trip flights from Sanaa Airport.

Following the end of the ceasefire, which has been repeatedly violated by the Saudi aggression coalition, UN consultations for its renewal began, and finally today, the UN special envoy for Yemen announced that an agreement had been reached to extend it for two months.

The Yemeni Supreme Political Council had stressed a few nights ago that the extension of the ceasefire was conditional on the fulfillment of all the obligations of the previous period of the ceasefire and the compensation of the damages resulting from its violation.
