Yemeni Defense Minister: The coalition is using firearms to carry out its plans

Pak Sahafat – The Minister of Defense of the Yemeni National Salvation Government, Mohammad Nasser Al-Atefi, said on Tuesday night that the coalition violating the ceasefire will use mercenaries to organize, execute hostile plans and scenarios.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoting the Yemeni “Saba” news agency, General Al-Atefi stated: We hoped that the UN ceasefire would be the beginning of ending the invasion and siege of Yemen and taking steps to build trust and a sense of responsibility, but in fact, we saw that the aggressors did not adhere to the ceasefire clauses, and this shows that we are facing an enemy who does not believe in the language of peace, and whose criminal approach and latent hatred for the Yemeni people dominate all its behavior.

Al-Atefi added: We tell the aggressor countries that what they wish for will not come true. They will be the first target [of the Yemeni army], and future actions will be more painful than in the past.

He emphasized that the “ceasefire coalition” was being used to organize mercenaries, carry out hostile plans and scenarios under a number of names, including the so-called Presidential Council, the coalition’s latest form for the Chinese preamble.

Yemeni Defense Minister added: The Yemeni Ministry of Defense and the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and all levels of its command, as well as its affiliated units, have provided the necessary equipment for their military capabilities and for updating their tools and military methods.

He added: We are fully prepared for war in the event of an emergency, and we are ready to use all military options and exercise all our rights, both in peacetime and in wartime.

The Yemeni Minister of Defense added in the end: The aggressor countries do not abide by the terms of the ceasefire, and this shows that we are facing an enemy who does not believe in the language of peace and whose behavior is criminal.

On April 1, Hans Grundberg announced that the parties to the agreement in Yemen had agreed to a two-month, extended ceasefire that would take effect on April 2.

The Saudi-led Arab aggression coalition, forces of the resigned Yemeni government, and the Ansarallah movement welcomed the ceasefire.

One of the most important clauses in the agreement was the resumption of commercial flights from Sanaa Airport with two flights a week, one to Egypt and the other to Jordan.

In the latest development, UN Secretary-General Anthony Guterres has called for an extension of the ceasefire in Yemen.
