Yemeni official: Yemeni oil is stolen and its income is deposited in a Saudi bank

Pak Sahafat – Essam Al-Mutawakkel, the spokesman of the Yemen Oil Company, said: My country’s oil has been stolen and its income is transferred to the Saudi bank “Al Ahli”.

Today in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV channel, Al-Matawakkil added: As an oil producing country, Yemen lives like countries that are deprived of oil wealth.

Al-Mutawakkil continued: Yemen does not have any interest in its crude oil income because the income from the sale of this country’s oil is deposited in Saudi Arabia’s “Al-Ahli” bank.

This Yemeni official considered the “aggressive coalition led by America to be responsible for the oil crisis in Yemen”.

He explained: The aggressor coalition seized all ships during the current ceasefire, and during the Corona pandemic, when gasoline prices dropped; more than 15,000 Yemeni ships were seized by the aforementioned coalition.

Al-Mutawakkil said: The aggressor coalition does not want to set up the “Safer” oil refinery, although if it is set up, the oil crisis in Yemen will be reduced.

According to this report, Al-Mutawakkul announced a while ago: The Saudi coalition continues to violate the ceasefire and took the “Sandus” gasoline ship hostage and forcibly sent it to the coast of the city of Jizan located in the south of Saudi Arabia, even though it had been searched and the ship had permission to enter from the organization.

The spokesperson of Yemen Oil Company emphasized: The Saudi coalition knows no boundaries for its maritime piracy, either before the current ceasefire or after it.

In this regard, the Sana’a government has accused the countries of the Saudi coalition of stealing Yemen’s oil wealth and repeatedly threatened to target companies and ships looting Yemen’s oil and gas because oil and gas provide 80% of the country’s budget.

In this regard, an official in the oil ministry of the government of Sana’a in an interview with Al-Mayadeen pointed out that more than 12 million barrels of Yemeni oil have been stolen since the beginning of this year 2022.
