What’s up in the West Asian region?

After the compromise between the two Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, namely the UAE and Bahrain, with the Zionist regime on September 16, 2020, the situation in the Middle East has changed a lot and according to experts and analysts in the region, West Asia will witness changes in the near future.

Of course, the developments in the region over the past year are only part of the developments in West Asia, led by the West, led by the United States; The most important incident that took place in the last two years and affected the region and even the world, is related to the terrorist act and the US plan to martyr General Haj Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of the IRGC Quds Force and Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes. He was the deputy commander of the Al-Hashd al-Shabi (People’s Mobilization) organization in Iraq on January 4, 2017; a terrorist incident that was followed by a new US plan to secure the Zionist regime.

With the martyrdom of General Soleimani and Al-Mohandes in a terrorist act by American forces near Baghdad airport, the West Asian region suffered a huge vacuum and the two countries of Iraq and Syria collapsed at once.

On the other hand, a new development has taken place in the region, which is related to the visit of the UAE Foreign Minister to Syria last Tuesday after 10 years and his meeting with President Bashar al-Assad.

UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday evening headed a delegation to Damascus to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. After the talks, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan invited Assad to A trip to the UAE was dedicated to him.

Abdullah bin Zayed, who was the former UAE Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who signed a compromise agreement with the Zionist regime on behalf of the UAE regime on September 16, 2016, was accompanied by UAE Foreign Minister Khalifa Shaheen.

The UAE delegation is the first high-ranking diplomatic delegation to travel to Damascus after more than 10 years during the Syrian crisis, during which several agreements, including the establishment of a power plant in Syria by Emirati companies, were signed between the two sides.

In bin Zayed’s meeting with Bashar al-Assad, the situation in the Arab and regional countries and Syria was reviewed and it was agreed that consultations and coordination on various issues and challenges facing the Arab countries would continue to meet the demands of the people of the region and their will away from any foreign interference.

Prior to bin Zayed’s visit to Damascus, some Arab countries, such as Egypt, Jordan and Algeria, in recent days and months have commented on Syria’s return to the Arab League and the normalization of relations with Damascus, and have taken steps in this direction.

Al-Sharq Al-Awsat also claims that this document is the basis of the actions of the Arab countries towards Damascus; These included Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Meqdad meeting with nine Arab ministers in New York, official meetings between Jordanian and Syrian officials, and contacts between Arab leaders and President Bashar al-Assad (with the UAE Foreign Minister).

Al-Sharq al-Awsat claims that normalization of relations (between Syria and Arab countries) includes “incentive packages” for Damascus, such as the passage of the “Arab gas pipeline” from Egypt and Jordan (via Syria) to Lebanon, and the construction of a power plant in Syria Washington does not oppose these measures and offer exemption from sanctions “Caesar law”.
