Wagner was included in the list of British terrorist organizations

Pak Sahfat – British Ministry of Home Affairs announced by issuing a statement that it has included the Wagner militant group in Russia on the list of terrorist organizations.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, according to this statement, a copy of which was published on the website of the British government, from September 13, membership in this group, encouragement to support, help or use the Wagner logo will be considered a crime. Wagner’s assets are also classified as terrorist assets and confiscated.

According to the statement of the British Ministry of Interior, the punishment for any belonging to this Russian group is up to 14 years in prison and a fine.

British Home Secretary Suella Braverman said: “Wagner is a violent and destructive organization that has acted as a military tool of Vladimir Putin (President of the Russian Federation) abroad.” While the Putin regime decides the fate of the monster it has created, Wagner’s continued destabilizing activities only serve the Kremlin’s political goals.

He claimed: They are terrorists, and today’s sentence clarifies this issue in British law. Wagner is a threat to global security, which is why we ban this terrorist organization and continue to help Ukraine fight Russia.

The British Home Office statement said: Wagner Group is a Russian private military company that has acted as a proxy military force on behalf of the Russian government. Founded in 2014, Wagner has operated in a number of countries including Ukraine, Syria, Central African Republic, Sudan, Libya, Mozambique and Mali.

The British Ministry of Home Affairs stated that “Wagner is serving the goals of Russia’s foreign policy” and added: Britain has continuously criticized the violent and destructive actions of the Wagner group and placed this group in the first wave of sanctions against Russia in early 2022. Recently, it has sanctioned 13 individuals and businesses related to the actions of this group in July.

According to a statement from the British Home Office, “Wagner’s identification as a terrorist organization was a response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s requests to treat this group as a terrorist organization.” The UK will maintain its unwavering support for Ukraine and continue to condemn Russian aggression.

Wagner is the 79th organization to be added to the list of so-called terrorist organizations in the UK. The Deputy Minister of the Interior of England claimed in this regard: It is a murderous organization responsible for committing crimes around the world. The detention of Wagner sends a clear message that Britain will not tolerate Russian proxies and their brutal actions in Ukraine.

The name of the Wagner group has been in the news since a few months ago when the news of their departure to Ukraine to help the Russian army in the war was published. Wagner’s group had become more famous than ever when differences arose between Yevgeny Prigozhin, the commander of Wagner’s private army, and the commanders of the Russian army.

The climax of Prigozhin’s disagreements with the Russian army came to the fore on July 3 this year. After accusing Russian army forces of attacking the positions of this group, he led a rebellion against Russia, which of course lasted only 24 hours and ended with the mediation of Belarus.

In a televised speech on the day of the uprising, Russian President Vladimir Putin described Wagner’s actions as treason and a backstab.

Not long ago, it was announced that Prigozhin’s plane crashed in the “Tor” region of Russia, northwest of Moscow, and he died along with 9 other passengers.
