US State Department agrees to sell arms to three Arab countries

The US State Department has agreed to possible arms deals with Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The US State Department on Tuesday issued a statement agreeing to possible arms deals with Egypt, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

The State Department stressed that it agrees with the sale of weapons to Kuwait, including helicopters, and Saudi Arabia, which includes a variety of bombs.

The State Department also said it agreed to a possible deal to sell the air defense system to Egypt.

The British Guardian recently reported on US arms sales to Saudi Arabia, saying that Riyadh had spent about $ 70 billion on arms purchases in 2014 due to the war against Yemen, which is about 9% of the country’s GDP.

The country has become the world’s largest importer of weapons since Saudi Arabia invaded Yemen in 2015, according to the report.

According to the Guardian, the United States is the largest exporter of weapons to Saudi Arabia, so that from 2014 to 2018, about 70% of the Saudi arms market was owned by the United States.

Ansarullah’s spokesman and head of the Yemeni negotiating team, Mohammed Abdul Salam, told the West last November to stop selling weapons to the child-killing Saudi regime.

Ansarullah’s spokesman praised the countries that stopped selling weapons to the child-killing Saudi regime.

Earlier this year, the German government extended the arms embargo on Saudi Arabia for nine months and has no plans to agree to new shipments until December 20, 2020, which will also ban previously licensed shipments.
