United Nations: Our strategy in Afghanistan focuses on the rights of women and minorities

Pak Sahafat – The Deputy Spokesperson of the United Nations said about the strategy of this organization until 2025 in Afghanistan that this strategy focuses on the rights of women and minorities.

According to Pak Sahafat news agency, “Farhan Haq”, the deputy spokesperson of the United Nations, said that based on the organization’s new strategy for Afghanistan, the issues of women and girls, ethnic and religious minorities, and internally displaced persons will be the priorities of the United Nations.

He added that this strategy focuses on three common priorities, including the continuation of essential services, creating economic and livelihood opportunities, and social cohesion, including gender equality and human rights.

On the other hand, Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Afghan government, also told TOLO: The United Nations can play an important role in supporting the people of Afghanistan. We also want a good and strategic interaction with this organization and with the world community as a whole.

Some experts on Afghanistan’s economic issues also believe that the United Nations can help the Afghan people in the development of sustainable peace.

This year, the United Nations Office in Afghanistan (UNAMA) published a new strategy of the United Nations to support the citizens of Afghanistan until 2025.
