Trump called on his supporters to protest

The President of the United States called on his supporters to hold a protest rally in New York City on the day of the confirmation of the results of the presidential election by the Congress.

US President Donald Trump, who is in the last days of his presidency, called on his supporters to protest in his latest tweet.

Trump wrote on his Twitter page: The protest rally will be at 11 a.m. on January 6 in New York City … Stop theft (votes).

CNN News Network reported that a number of Republicans are likely to oppose it on the day of the congressional hearing to approve the results of the 2020 US presidential election (January 6).

The network quoted two members of Congress as saying that about 140 Republicans in the US House of Representatives and a large number of members of the Senate are expected to protest the election results.

The US Senate on Friday overturned the President’s veto over the 2021 National Defense Budget Act by a landslide.

According to Hill, members of the US Senate on Friday with an overwhelming majority vetoed President Donald Trump against the National Defense Authorization (Military Budget) Act for 2021 until another political defeat for Donald Trump in the last days of his term.

Prior to the passage of the US National Defense Authority Act of 2021, the President had expressed opposition to sections of the Act, including those related to China and Afghanistan, and threatened to veto it.
