The Zionists turned to European countries to oppose the Hague Tribunal

The Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of War have joined European countries in countering the International Criminal Court‘s investigation into the Zionist war crimes against the Palestinians.

Israeli media have reported that Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Prime Minister and War Minister Benjamin Gantz have recently consulted with senior European leaders to oppose the Hague Tribunal’s investigation.

Senior Israeli officials, including Benjamin Netanyahu and Prime Minister and Minister of War Benjamin Gantz, spoke with senior European leaders against the Hague Tribunal’s decision to investigate war crimes, Israeli news channel I24 reported, quoting its correspondent.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague announced last Wednesday that it has launched a formal investigation into war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.

“Fato Bensouda, who will be the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court until June 15, 2021, stated in a statement: “Today, I confirm the start of an investigation into the situation in Palestine by the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.”

The International Criminal Court (ICC) reaffirmed its jurisdiction over the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories in a vote in February. The judges of the court declared that their decision was based on the rules of jurisdiction contained in the documents related to the establishment of this court.

During Donald Trump’s presidency, the US government imposed sanctions on Fatou Bensouda for trying to advance the case. Joe Biden’s government has also opposed the Hague tribunal’s investigation into Tel Aviv.

Netanyahu and Gantz, who may themselves be prosecuted and convicted by the International Criminal Court, have sought to put pressure on the tribunal and its next chief prosecutor by mobilizing pro-regime countries.

According to Kahn News, the Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of War are trying to pressure Bensuda’s successor to drop the Hague tribunal’s investigation, with the support of the pro-regime countries.

Karim Khan, a British lawyer, was elected chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on February 16th.

It was reported that Bensouda, the chief prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal, who was pursuing a plan to prosecute the crimes of the Zionist regime, resigned due to pressure from the Zionist regime.
