The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in a report that the Zionist occupiers had destroyed, demolished or confiscated 35 Palestinian buildings in the past two weeks on the grounds that they did not have a construction permit.
The Palestinian website Safa reported that the Zionist regime destroyed or confiscated 35 Palestinian buildings in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem from February 16 to March 1, displacing 98 Palestinians, including 53 children and another 60 people were displaced.
According to the report, on February 22, Zionist authorities confiscated 18 residential buildings and livestock holdings in Homs al-Baqiya, most of which were given as part of humanitarian aid to a number of Palestinians whose homes had already been destroyed. In this way, more than 60 people, including 36 children, were displaced for the second time.
The report further states that members of a family of seven were also displaced in area (C) after the demolition of their house in Bethlehem. Twenty-eight people were displaced in al-Issawiyah and Ras al-Amour in occupied Jerusalem, destroying three houses.
According to the report, the occupiers carried out 184 pursuit operations in the past two weeks, arresting 158 Palestinians in various parts of the West Bank. The Quds Governorate also reported 60 such operations, most of which took place in Quds.
Earlier, the Israeli Center for Human Rights Information in Occupied Palestine “Bethlehem” reported that the Zionists had demolished 729 Palestinian buildings in 2020 under the pretext of unauthorized construction.
