The plan of the Zionists to occupy the Palestinian lands in the north of the West Bank

Pak Sahafat – The governor of Salafit, located in the north of the West Bank, announced on Sunday night the new plan of the Zionist regime to seize Palestinian lands in this province.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Palestine’s Sama news agency, Abdullah Kamil said: The authorities of the occupying regime, through the so-called “Supreme Planning Council” of this regime, intend to seize the lands of “Al-Zawiyah”, “Deir Balut”, “Rafat” and “Moseh” in the west of Salafit and “Seniria” in Qalqilyeh province.

He added: After taking over these lands, the Zionists intend to convert them into industrial and tourist areas by changing their use and allocate part of them to the construction of residential settlements.

Governor Sulfit added, it is planned to build new industrial zones named “Sha’ar Heshumaron” and “Nahal Rabah” in 4 thousand dunums of Al-Zawiyah agricultural land, the Zionist settlement “Al-Qana” will be expanded and connected to “Uranit” settlement, as well as new settlements in the lands of” Rafat”, “Moseh” and “Seniriya” should be built.

Kamil asked the people and farmers to protest against the occupation of Palestinian lands by the Zionist regime by referring to the competent authorities.

Emphasizing that these actions of the occupying regime are a clear and flagrant violation of international laws and international resolutions, the most important of which is Security Council Resolution No. 2334, he said: The settlement policy, including the construction or development of settlements, the occupation of land, or the displacement of Palestinians, is illegal, rejected and condemned.

The governor of Salafit called on the international community to take decisive positions to put pressure on the Israeli regime to stop the actions and policies of this regime regarding settlements.

The actions of the Israeli regime come at a time when the United Nations Security Council (February 20, 2023) issued an official statement condemning the Zionist regime’s plan to expand settlements in the occupied Palestinian lands; An action that took place after 6 years from the last resolution of this council, and America also appeared in the role of opposing its long-time ally.

The last time, in December 2016, the administration of then US President Barack Obama vetoed a Security Council resolution that called on Israel to halt settlement construction.
