Pakistan invited Erdogan to participate in the strategic cooperation meeting

Pak Sahafat – The Prime Minister of Pakistan invited the President of Turkey to participate in the seventh meeting of strategic cooperation between Ankara and Islamabad.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif invited Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to participate in the seventh meeting of strategic cooperation between the two countries.

According to the report of “Anatolia” news agency, the Prime Minister of Pakistan (June 3rd) announced this invitation during his participation in the inauguration ceremony of Erdogan for the new term of the presidency and after the dinner that Erdogan had organized for the officials of the countries and guests.

According to the Anatolian reporter, Sharif congratulated Erdogan on his re-election as the President of Turkey on behalf of himself and the people of Pakistan and emphasized Islamabad’s determination to continue strengthening relations with Ankara and developing strategic partnerships in various fields.

On Saturday, after the inauguration, Erdogan announced the new members of his new cabinet. The appointment of Turkish Information Minister Hakan Fidan to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was one of the most important changes of the new Ankara government. Daily Sabah reported that the new cabinet will hold its first meeting (Tuesday, June 5).

According to news sources, 78 officials from different countries, including 21 presidents and 13 prime ministers, participated in the inauguration and handing over of the presidential mandate to Erdogan, which was held in Ankara on Saturday.

The second round of the Turkish presidential election was held on Sunday (May 28) and according to the announcement of the Supreme Election Commission, Erdogan was elected as the president of Turkey with 27,834,589 votes equivalent to 52.18% of the votes. His opponent, Kemal Gulicdaroglu, was also defeated by obtaining 25 million 504 thousand 724 votes, equivalent to 47.82 percent of the people’s votes.
