The Kuwaitis wanted to use the economy as a weapon against the British

Pak Sahafat – While condemning the decision of the British Prime Minister to move the embassy of this country from Tel Aviv to the occupied city of Quds, Kuwaiti personalities, activists and lawyers called on the Arab nations and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf region to use economic weapon to prevent London from this decision.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, “Araby 21” news site wrote this Sunday: Condemning the British Prime Minister’s efforts to move the country’s embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem, Kuwaiti personalities emphasized that if this issue is implemented, it will have dangerous consequences, and they asked the Arabs and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf to use economic weapons to confront England and dissuade London from their decision.

“Abd al-Aziz Badr Al-Qatan,” a Kuwaiti writer and lawyer, emphasized his view on the position of the Arab countries on the Persian Gulf regarding this action: As it is known, the recent decisions of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC+) to reduce oil production due to the cooperation of Saudi Arabia with Russia, provoked the anger of the American side and the reaction of the Congress to this action and talk of the initiative of the American Congress to withdraw the systems Missile defense and the US military came from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

He continued: Maybe the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf are not trying to open a front with the West at the moment, but they are trying to contain the existing situation. This is at the official level, but at the popular level, the Arab nations emphasize that this British effort will not be without consequences because the Palestinian issue is the main issue of the Arab nations in the Persian Gulf region, especially the nation of Kuwait.

Al-Qatan further stated: More than statements of condemnation and declaration of disgust, Palestine needs concrete steps to end this colonial tyranny. I believe that the West today is not in a position to dictate its demands to the Arab world as in the past; especially since the Ukraine crisis has covered all levels of the West.

This Kuwaiti writer pointed out that London is negotiating with the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf to conclude a free trade agreement with them, and pointed out the possibility that if the British embassy is moved to Jerusalem, the Arab countries will use economic weapons against England.

He added: This issue will definitely happen and it can be said that it has started with the decisions of the OPEC+ group.

In this connection, Kuwaiti political activist “Hadi Saud Al-Karibani” said: The Arab League and the Arab Parliament rejected and condemned the British Prime Minister’s statements, but this rejection and condemnation without real international pressure on Britain, which must respect international laws and regulations, support the peace process, and end the Zionist occupation.

He mentioned: OPEC+’s decision to cut production by two million barrels per day is the biggest pressure Europe is facing today, especially after the energy crisis it is experiencing, and this is the biggest weapon against the fragile government of Liz Truss.

“Tareq Al-Shaye”, head of the “Youth for Quds” World Union, also said that attempts to move the British embassy to Jerusalem are being made by a country from which the occupation grew and still exists, and which has supported the Zionist occupation in the past and continues to support it in all its forms.

He added: These efforts are consistent with its approach that always supports oppression and is prejudiced against the oppressor, and it is not surprising that this desire is carried out by Britain, which is the first country to establish this occupying regime in Palestine.

Al-Shaye, who is a member of the High Coordination Committee to fight against Zionism and normalize relations with the Zionist regime, continued: Therefore, the government of Kuwait will definitely take a clear and clear position in support of the Palestinian cause and against the British attempt to move the embassy of this country to Jerusalem and will issue a statement condemning this.

He continued: The position of the compromise Arab countries of the Persian Gulf will be either approval and support or silence and not commenting on this matter, and in my opinion, this approach means silence against the right and encouraging the increase of cruelty and wickedness of the oppressor.

The head of the World Youth Union expressed his hope for Quds that they will take a firm stance towards the cause of Palestine and condemn the British actions.

Despite this, he said: The economic weapon is an option that is being discussed today, and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf should take a stand against it and enter into a dialogue for the benefit of Palestine if England wants to conclude this free trade agreement.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid met British Prime Minister Liz Truss on October 6, 1401, and according to reports, Truss told Lapid that he was considering moving his country’s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

If “Trace” fulfills its plan, it will follow the path of former US President Donald Trump, who decided to move his country’s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in a controversial move in 2018.

On that day, in an unprecedented move, Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist regime, which angered Palestinians and other Muslims around the world.

The vast majority of countries have refused to transfer their embassies from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem because they do not recognize the occupation of the eastern part of Jerusalem by the Israeli regime and consider it illegal.

The criminal Israeli regime occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in 1967 and then announced that it had annexed the eastern part of Jerusalem to the occupied territories, a decision not recognized by the majority of the international community.
