Pak Sahafat – The Kuwaiti athlete withdrew from the competition in order to avoid the confrontation with the representative of the Zionist regime in the World Karate League.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency report, quoted by the Palestinian media, “Mohammed Mashal Al-Otaibi”, the Kuwaiti karate, announced his withdrawal from the World Karate League hosted by the Republic of Azerbaijan after he was drawn against an athlete from the Zionist regime.
In February of last year, Kuwaiti tennis player Mohammad Al-Awadi withdrew from the match against the Zionist player in the semi-finals of the under-14 international professional championship held in Dubai.
Activists on social networks praised Al-Awadi’s action in rejecting the normalization of relations with the Israeli occupiers and considered it complementary to Kuwait’s position in support of the Palestinian cause.
