The Chief of General Staff met with the Commander of the Pakistan Army

Islamabad – Pak Sahafat – On the second day of his official visit to Pakistan, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with the Commander of the Pakistani Army this morning.

According to Pak Sahafat reporter on Wednesday, Sardar Bagheri, along with a high-ranking military delegation of Iran, met with General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Commander of the host army, at the Pakistan Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

Before the official meeting, Sardar Bagheri presented a wreath at the symbolic place of the martyrs at the army headquarters while paying tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistani Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.

After the welcoming ceremony, high-ranking Iranian and Pakistani military delegations entered into formal talks.

Major General Mohammad Bagheri and General Bajwa examined the latest developments in Iran-Pakistan bilateral relations, defense relations, and regional developments, including Afghanistan.

Expressing confidence in the growing trend of military, security and border interactions between the two neighboring countries in recent years, they decided to advance these interactions.

The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of our country is also scheduled to meet with General Nadim Reza, Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Pakistan Army.

The development of joint cooperation against terrorism, exchange of training staff, strengthening border management, exchange of information and expansion of defense consultations are other issues discussed by our high-ranking military delegation and Pakistani military officials.

Sardar Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in Islamabad last night at the head of a high-ranking military delegation to expand joint cooperation with Pakistan and was welcomed by senior Pakistani military officials and the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan.
