The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a Saudi-owned military base in southern Yemen

News sources reported an explosion at a Saudi coalition military base in southern Yemen.

According to the report, the bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a Saudi military committee in the southwestern Yemeni province of Abin.

Local sources say the committee is tasked with implementing the Riyadh agreement between the ousted government of Mansour Hadi and separatist militants affiliated with the UAE, known as the Southern Transitional Council of Yemen.

No details have been released about the details of the blast. However, some sources attributed the blast to a car bomb.

The headquarters of the Saudi military committee is located in the city of Shaqra in Abin province. According to local sources, the blast was so loud that it could be heard throughout the Yemeni city.

This is the second explosion aimed at defeating the agreement. The first blast occurred last week as the new cabinet and coalition of the resigned government and the Southern Transitional Council arrived at Aden airport, killing and injuring dozens.

Although the Saudi coalition and the resigned Yemeni government have accused Ansarullah of carrying out a rocket attack on the airport, observers say the southern Yemeni Transitional Council militant group, which is pursuing UAE scenarios in the country, is ahead of the blasts to prevent them from taking place.
