The attack on the Mossad headquarters in Erbil coincided with the visit of the Israeli Foreign Minister to the UAE

Some sources reported that a Mossad base in northern Iraq was targeted by a rocket at the same time as the Israeli foreign minister’s visit to the UAE.

Some sources reported today (Tuesday) the rocket attack on the base of the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad) in Erbil in northern Iraq.

Qatar Ajal news website quoted Iraqi sources as saying that an armed group had targeted a base in the city of Erbil, the capital of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, which was said to belong to Mossad.

The media quoted Iraqi sources as saying that a rocket attack had been carried out on the Mossad Operations and Observation Center, killing a number of people stationed at the headquarters.

Qatar Ajal further added that Tel Aviv and Erbil have not yet reacted officially to the news, noting that the sources who quoted the news were people close to the Iraqi resistance groups.

According to the report, the attack took place at the same time as the visit of Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, the new cabinet of the Zionist regime and its rotating prime minister, to the UAE.

During a visit to Abu Dhabi today, the Israeli Foreign Minister officially inaugurated the Tel Aviv Embassy and Consulate General in the UAE.

Last September, Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv signed an agreement called Ibrahim under the mediation of former US President Donald Trump and formally normalized their diplomatic relations.

After the signing of the agreement, the relations between the two sides witnessed a significant improvement in a short period of time, to the point that Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv signed a cooperation agreement with several delegations in various fields.
