Demolition of 72 homes and displacement of dozens of Palestinians in three months

In separate letters to the UN Secretary-General, the President of the Security Council and the President of the General Assembly, Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian representative to the United Nations, announced the demolition of 72 homes and the displacement of 78 Palestinians in just three months.

In separate letters to the UN Secretary-General, the President of the Security Council and the President of the General Assembly, the Palestinian Representative to the United Nations warned of the dangers of the Zionist regime’s violent and racist attacks.

He said 78 Palestinians had been displaced as a result of the demolition of Palestinian homes in the past three months, 47 of them children and 15 women, and that 357 people had been injured.

Mansour also wrote in his letters that about 218 Palestinian families, including 970, including 424, had cases in Israeli courts involving the evacuation of their homes.

According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, the Palestinian representative to the UN also stated that this week alone, the Zionist regime announced the implementation of a large-scale destruction plan and the issuance of hundreds of destruction orders throughout the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and claimed that unauthorized construction is the cause of the demolition, although the regime has rejected nearly 99 percent of Palestinian construction permits in the past two years.

Mansour referred to the violence of settlers across the West Bank with the support of Israeli forces and the martyrdom of 16-year-old Ahmad Zaher Bani Shamseh, who was shot dead by Israeli forces.

He also stressed that the Zionist regime continues its attacks despite the ceasefire in Gaza, which is a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
