According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Reuters, in the genealogy report of the American political elite, it is stated that George W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama (from maternal ancestors) and current President Joe Biden are all descendants of ancestors who owned slaves at one point in time.
According to this report, at least 100 of the 536 members of the recent US Congress are from the families of slave owners, and 28 members of the Senate have at least one slave owner ancestor.
The list of US Congress members who are from the families of slave owners can be mentioned Mitch McConnell, Lindsay Graham, Elizabeth Warren and Jane Shaheen.
According to Reuters, in addition, “Amy Coney Barrett” and “Neil Gorsuch”, two of the nine justices of the Supreme Court of the United States are descendants of slave owners.
