Protesters against Netanyahu took to the streets for the 20th week in a row

Pak Sahafat – Thousands of residents of the occupied territories demonstrated for the 20th consecutive week in Tel Aviv and other cities of occupied Palestine against the Prime Minister of this regime, Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, from the Palestinian “Sama” news agency, Hebrew-speaking sources announced that tonight more than 150,000 Israelis protested against Netanyahu’s government and his judicial coup in various cities.

Only in the city of Tel Aviv, about 100,000 people appeared on the street and chanted slogans against Netanyahu’s government.

Demonstrations against the reform of the judicial system take place while Netanyahu was forced to temporarily suspend this plan as a result of the pressure of public opinion and American pressure.

Netanyahu said in a televised speech: I have decided to suspend the Knesset vote on the law on judicial changes in order to achieve a broad agreement that originates from national responsibility and to prevent factionalism among Israelis.

He emphasized that we will postpone the decision on judicial changes, but we will never give up on it.

In the plan of Netanyahu’s cabinet, known as the reform of the judicial law, the powers of the judicial system will be reduced and the power and position of the executive and legislative branches will be strengthened in this regime.

In this plan, the powers of the judicial advisor of the Zionist regime’s cabinet will be taken away, as well as the powers of the judicial advisors of other ministries of this regime, and the minister will have the possibility to remove or appoint any judicial advisor he wants to his office.

This bill was approved earlier in the Knesset session in the first reading with 63 votes in favor and 47 votes against.
