Palestinian flags on the roof of an Israeli factory in Britain

Six Palestinian Activists on the roof of the Elbit Systems UAV plant, which makes UAVs and weapons for Israel, hold Palestinian flags to protest the plant’s involvement in war crimes in the occupied territories and beyond.

One of the protesters said: “I was proud because for 10 years I have been watching the crimes of Elbit drones in Gaza and elsewhere, killing hundreds of people.” “These machines are against all human rights principles and are used as executioners. By stopping their production, I felt that I could finally take action in solidarity with the Palestinians.

The factory was recently closed for cleaning after protests over the breaking of the factory windows and the splash of red paint as a sign of the factory’s hand being contaminated with blood.

The plant, owned by Israeli firm Elbit Systems UK, has been repeatedly targeted by activists who claim the factory is involved in the supply of parts for drones used by the Israeli military against Palestinians.

Following the conclusion of the Shenstone protest, Staffordshire Police said: “Six flags holding people have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and related offences after police were called to reports of a protest at a factory site in Shenstone, Lichfield shortly after 2am this morning.
