An Iraqi security source reported the deployment of dozens of US armored vehicles in northern Syria, specifically in al-Hasakah.
An Iraqi security source said that more than 40 Hummer and armored vehicles, along with logistics and weapons, entered Syria yesterday through the Simalka border crossing in Erbil.
In an interview with Al-Ma’louma website, the source stated that for the past three days, we have been witnessing unusual movements of US troops on the border between Syria and Iraq (Kurdistan region), just as American planes fly reconnaissance flights over villages near the border almost every day.
Earlier, Nazim al-Shammari, the deputy head of the Al-Jabhat al-Arabiya coalition in Kirkuk, called for countering US military movements in the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
