Pakistani parliament speaker supports parliamentary diplomacy with Iran and China

Islamabad – Pak Sahafat – The Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament praised our country’s humanitarian approach to Afghanistan, especially helping to improve the situation of the people of this country, and called for the synergy of Tehran and Islamabad in the region, adding: The Pakistani parliament supports the initiative of the Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group for the tripartite participation of friendship groups in the presence of China.

According to Pak Sahafat reporter Asad Qaisar, who yesterday hosted a parliamentary delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani, head of the parliamentary friendship group between the two countries in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, supported the proposal to convene a joint meeting of Iran-China-Pakistan friendship groups.

He instructed the Secretariat of the National Assembly of Pakistan to take practical steps to coordinate tripartite parliamentary diplomacy and advance Iran’s initiative to form this partnership between the three major countries in the region.

Asad Qaisar emphasized: Ongoing interaction and consultation between political leaders and people-to-people contacts bring the two countries closer together. If the current upward trend in the bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan is a manifestation of this, because both Pakistan and Iran are tied to the eternal ties of religion, culture, society and history.

He added: The current Pakistani government is focused on developing economic capacity and communication for the development and prosperity of the region. We always want to increase trade and people-to-people contacts.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan considered the opening of two new border crossings with Iran to facilitate and streamline bilateral trade and people moving to each other’s countries and appreciated the idea of ​​creating border markets to increase bilateral trade and improve people’s livelihoods in border areas.

He said: The Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan should work more closely together in the light of changing geopolitical conditions in the region. We always want to establish sincere relations with our neighbors and resolve disputes peacefully.

Referring to the change of government in Afghanistan, the Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament said that Islamabad has always supported the peace process led and owned by Afghanistan.

He called for closer ties between the two governments of Iran and Pakistan, and called for joint efforts to curb Islamophobia in the West and resolve differences between Muslims in Kashmir and Palestine in accordance with international obligations.

Assad Qaisar thanked Iran for its support of the Muslims of Kashmir in regional and international forums, and said: Tehran’s humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, especially their fuel needs, is commendable.

The head of the Iranian parliamentary delegation congratulated the people and government of Pakistan on the auspicious days of Rabi al-Awal and the Week of Unity, and said: It is hoped that in the shadow of empathy and following the menus of the Prophet of Mercy, Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (PBUH), we can witness the cohesion and harmony of Islamic countries together.

He also conveyed the warm greetings of the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly to his Pakistani counterpart, adding: The parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries have a special place and it is one of the active groups in which most of the representatives in both houses are members.
