Pak Sahafat – A grand gathering to celebrate World Quds Day was held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan with the presence of a group of political figures and religious leaders of this country, and those present emphasized the unanimity of supporting the oppressed Palestine.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, on the eve of the World Quds Day and the solidarity of the nations of the world with Palestine, Iran’s ambassador in Islamabad, Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, hosted Pakistani personalities, especially prominent Sunni and Shia figures.
Those present in this meeting congratulated the ambassador of our country on the beginning of official relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia and stated that this development in the blessed month of Ramadan promises to strengthen Islamic unity and peace in the region.
Pakistani figures condemned the escalation of attacks by the occupying Jerusalem regime in Palestine, especially the Zionist military attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque, and emphasized the role of the Islamic world, especially Iran and Pakistan, to unite against Israel and support the oppressed Palestinian nation.
Maulana “Abdul Ghafoor Haidari”, the former vice chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, appreciated the long-standing positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in support of Palestine, and emphasized the need for the unity of the Islamic world against the occupation of the Zionist regime and added: Israel is an absolute usurper and we will not give in to the compromise plan at any cost.
The ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran also said: The apartheid regime of Israel continues to commit brutal crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories and we are witnessing the intensification of oppression against the oppressed Palestinian people. During the past seven decades, these crimes have been committed in front of the western supporters of this regime, including the United States, and with their green light.

Hosseini added: Iran considers the basic principle to give life to the resistance and the complete liberation of the Palestinian land from the hands of the evil Israel. It is hoped that the Muslims of the world will do their best to celebrate Quds Day and take a more effective step for Palestine and Holy Quds.
He emphasized: The countries of the region and the world should also avoid any action that makes Israel more arrogant and strengthens and encourages it.
Mufti Noorul Haq Qadri, the former minister of religious affairs of Pakistan, also appreciated the efforts of the Iranian ambassador in strengthening bilateral relations, especially his services for the rapprochement of Islamic religions: Muslim nations support their brothers and sisters in Palestine and we will work together for the rights of the Palestinians and condemn the brutal actions of the illegitimate Israeli regime.
Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, the leader of the Shiites of Pakistan, also said: The illegitimate government and the usurping Zionist regime and its supporters in the world are responsible for several decades of merciless killing of the oppressed Palestinian people.
Paying tribute to the great personality of Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and mentioning the importance of his role in naming the International Quds Day, he added: The Muslims of the world will never forget this humanitarian act of Imam Khomeini (RA) by participating widely in the World Quds Day and supporting the oppressed and defenseless people of Palestine, as well as by defending the ideals of the Intifada.
